Conscious Safety Day
It can always be safer!
On Wednesday 29 March, we focused on safe and healthy working during the Conscious Safety Day 2023. This annual initiative of industry organisation Bouwend Nederland, first organised in 2016, attracted a record number of almost 700 participating companies. The aim of the day: to reduce the number of accidents in the sector. Safe first!
Cycle to Work Day!
Today, Thursday 25 May, is Cycle to Work Day. Why? Because cycling is healthy, because it has a positive effect on our immune system, promotes our sense of happiness and is good for the environment and your wallet. To reinforce this statement, Safe has revived the bicycle plan scheme.
Mechelen station - MST200
Commissioned by TM CIT Blaton - Artes Roegiers, Safe continues to build in Mechelen. After Safe has been involved in the realisation of the railway bypass and parking around the central station for years, it is now the turn of the station itself. The station in Mechelen dates from 1958 and no longer meets current standards; it is in need of a thorough overhaul.
Usawa coffee wins taste test!
Usawa coffee has been named the very best sustainable coffee in the Netherlands!
We at Safe are proud and happy to be drinking coffee that is roasted in a socially, environmentally conscious and responsible way.
By drinking this coffee, we support several small-scale charities; we help the coffee farmers in East Africa, we reduce Co2 emissions, because the beans are brought by cargo bicycle and we support the "Josephat Torner Foundation", which ensures that people with albinism have a safer life in African countries.

Safety first. It would be our honour - and name! - not to do everything possible to prevent accidents. We are proud to announce that we were recently certified according to the NEN Safety Culture Ladder - SCL Light Step 3. Another step towards an even higher level of safety awareness!
