Northwest Hospital Alkmaar

Snelheid door slimme oplossingen

Commissioned by the Noordwest Hospital Group, healthcare specialist contractor MedicomZes is building the first phase of the new Noordwest Hospital in Alkmaar. The new building with a size of almost 35,000m2, consists of an 'acute axis' including operating rooms, emergency plaza, intensive care and nursing departments for complex care. Underneath all this is an underground car park of around 7,500m2.

The car park consists of an insitu concrete deck combined with a wide variety of insitu beams. Safe provides the support here, including child beams and formwork slab base. Attaching the concrete plywood to the sheet piling is another job for our carpenters. The superstructure consists of a structure of prefabricated beams with wide slabs, with the prefabricated façade closure being directly included. As a result - and because of the quick-to-assemble Polyvalkop system - the superstructure can be realised at high speed.

To get the support equipment out from under the floor, we use our specially developed exit platforms. These platforms with a usable area of say 2.5 by 2.5 metres, can be loaded up to 3,000 kg. With a crane and the landings, the floors will soon be empty in no time and the material can be put back on the truck for the next job.
