IRA II Brussels - Challenging support structure

by

On the site of the Universitaire Kliniek Saint-Luc in Brussels, SM Wust-Moury-Besix commissioned Safe to build a challenging support structure to accommodate a cantilevered floor at a height of about 17 metres.

This floor, measuring 6 metres wide and 47 metres long, consists of a steel structure with two additional insitu floors and intermediate wall, which cannot be fully supported at ground level in order to guarantee accessibility to the building by work traffic. In addition, the support overlooked a through road which also had to be spared; a piece of cake for our engineers.
